Education thrives where students have access to safe, inspiring, and functional learning environments. Yet many public schools continue to struggle with outdated infrastructure that limits both teaching quality and student development.
Recognising this challenge at Government Secondary School, Mararaba, the Catherine Adeh Foundation initiated a renovation intervention focused on restoring classrooms and improving science learning facilities.
The Challenges
A conducive learning environment is essential for academic excellence, yet many public schools continue to struggle with aging and inadequate infrastructure.
At Government Secondary School, Mararaba, deteriorating classroom structures and the lack of a properly equipped science laboratory posed significant challenges to effective teaching and learning. These conditions limited students’ ability to learn in a safe, inspiring, and practical academic environment.

What We Did
The Catherine Adeh Foundation, in partnership with Bank of Industry and facilitated by Senetor Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, officially launched the groundbreaking ceremony for the renovation of classrooms and the school’s science laboratory.
Activities carried out included:
- Official groundbreaking ceremony

- Commissioner of Education Nasarawa address to students and staff on the value of quality educational infrastructure
